ASP
ASP is a Japanese idol group that emerged in March 2021 under WACK. They dub themselves as "ANTi STYLE IDOLS" and they deem themselves as, "ANTi SOCiETY PUNKS." During their early days as indies, they embodied a punk-rock aesthetic, reminiscent of WACK's initial punk-style idol image. After their major debut, their musical style evolved into a fusion of hyper pop, rap, and hip-hop, reflecting Watanabe Junnosuke's growing interest in hip-hop.
BIS
Bis, also stylized as BiS, and known as Brand-new idol Society (新生アイドル研究会, Shinsei Aidoru Kenkyūkai), is a Japanese alternative idol girl group established in 2010 by leader Pour Lui following a short solo career. Distinguished by their unique music, performances, and videos that deviate significantly from traditional idol groups, Bis has earned a reputation as alternative idols.
They disbanded at Yokohama Arena on July 8, 2014, only to reunite exactly two years later on July 8, 2016, with a new lineup featuring Pour Lui, along with auditions for additional members. The group announced their second disbandment on March 30, 2019, following their "Are You Ready To Go?" tour. Simultaneously, Watanabe revealed plans for closed auditions to form a third generation of Bis members, who debuted at Tokyo Idol Festival on August 4, 2019.
MonsterIdol
MONSTER IDOL (モンスターアイドル) was a reality TV series that aired from November 6th to December 18th, 2019, as part of the TBS variety program Suiyobi no Downtown (Wednesday's Downtown). The show, filmed in August, follows an audition process for the WACK unit MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN, akin to other idol audition programs like ASAYAN.
Watanabe Junnosuke serves as a mentor in the series, alongside WAgg member Hanaemonster, former BiS member Zuzu Death, and several finalists from the WACK AUDiTiON CAMP 2019.
The series revolves around variety show comedian Kuro-chan, who takes on the role of an "idol producer" with Watanabe during the audition for a new WACK unit. Amidst the selection process, Kuro-chan also endeavors to form romantic connections with some of the audition participants.
